"Buster", as he was known by family and friends, was a fine young man. He lived on the ranch his parents owned and was a graduate of Waynoka, OK, high school. When he was serving in the Marine Corps, it was learned his father, Frank, was terminally ill. Local neighbors helped sign papers to have him returned to the ranch to help his mother, Pearl, and older sister, Loretta Gail, before his enlistment was up.
He went hunting on New Year's Day and was accidentally killed. It was a great loss for his family as well as the neighbors who were instrumental in bringing him home.
