JOSEPH D. KRICK DIES THURSDAY - Life-long Resident of Adams County
Joseph D. Krick, 80, a life-long resident of Adams County, died at 6:45 p.m. in the Adams County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for seven weeks.
He and his wife, Mrs. Arrila Riley-Krick who survives, lived with their daughter, Mrs. Mary Dixon. Also surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. Alice Schollenbuch of Clinton, Ia., Mrs. Dorothy Williams of Tampa. Fl., and Mrs. Ireta Hughes of Muncie; six sons, Orley of Decatur, Harry of Clinton, Ia., Austin of Flint, Mi., Don of Markle, Joe of Ripon, Wis., and Paul of Ossian, and a stepdaughter, the Rev. Leah Isgrigg of Greenfield.
A brother, Charley of Waterford, Ca. and 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren survive. The deceased's first wife, Ida Moeller-Krick, and four brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Krick was born in Adams County April 12, 1874, the son of Jacob and Judith Krick. He was a member of the Odd fellows lodge at Monroeville and a member of the Clark Chapel Methodist Church.
The body was taken to the Black Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The Rev. Lawrence Norris will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Paul Isgrigg of Greenfield. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
