DEADLY FUMES - Tragedy At Woodville
COLLAPSE IN WELL .. Though extricated withing two minutes of his descent into a well which, with two companions, he was digging at Ormond Road, Woodville, on Saturday afternoon, Mr John Harris, a widower, aged 50, succumbed to the effect of carbon dioxide fumes which very nearly caused a second fatality. The tragedy occurred with remarkable swiftness.
