Dewey Lee Woodward, 58, of Hoxie, Kan. died at his home on Thursday, Sept. 3. He was born on Jan. 24, 1951 in Hugoton, Kan. to Vernon and Verda Lucille (Kirk) Woodward. He was raised and attended school in Liberal, Kan. A truck driver for 37 years, he lived most of his life in Kansas except for a time he came to reside in around the Wagoner/Hulbert area. Dewey was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Clarence, R.C. and Arnold Woodward. Survivors include three sons, Marvin Morgan Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Wagoner, Brian and Jeffrey Woodward, both of Norman, his two daughters, Stephanie Morgan and Dewi Leann Gann and her husband, William, of Wagoner, siblings, Uryeal Woodward and his wife, Lisa, of Arlington, Texas, Ronald Woodward, of Wagoner, Ester Smith and her husband, Larry, of Hooker, Carolyn Sendmeir and her husband, Rob, of Hayes, Kan., Teressa Bollinger, of Kansas and Diane Ells, of Wagoner, grandchildren Paige, Kyler and Tayte Morgan, Landon Gann and Lilli Anna Luft and his fiancee, Yvonne Brian and the mothers of his children, Linda Woodward and Karen Rodgers. Visitation was on Sept. 8 at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Services were at 2 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the funeral home's chapel. Burial was at Boudinot Cemetery in Welling with the Reverends Jack and Gary Carey officiating. Pallbearers were Uryeal Woodward, Ronald Woodward, Danny Romero, Rodney Denton, Ray Aguilar and Lincoln Adair. Honorary pallbearers were William Gann, Randy Carey and the Woodward nephews. Services were under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
