Services for Mrs. Virgie Virginia McDonald Coldtharpe, 81, were held Dec, 31st at the Bakerville Church of Christ near Kennett with C.W. Brannum of Kennett officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville with Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home of Hayti in charge of arrangements.
She was born Nov. 7th, 1896 in Crockett County, Tenn., the daughter of the T.J. and Virginia Mansfield. She married James E. McDonald, who preceded her in death in 1965. In 1967 she married George W. Coldtharpe, who preceded her in death in 1971.
Survivors include three sons, J.B. McDonald Jr. of Kennett, James McDonald of Cape Girardeau, and Wendell H. McDonald of Parma; six daughters, Mrs. Loune Davis of Palm Springs, Calif., Mrs. Opal Waller of Steele, Mrs. Marie Reed of Newport News, Vir., Mrs. Dorothy Pacifico of Staten Island, N.Y., and Mrs. Pat Chia of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Jean Davis of Leavenworth, Kan.; one sister, Mrs. Irsa Midyett of Ripley, Tenn.; two brothers, Loyd Mansfield of Tip[ley, Tenn., and J.B. Mansfield of Braggadocio; 32 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Wade, Jack Lewis, Jack Houser, Joe Marshall, J.F. Jordon and Dave Wilkerson.
