Andrew Hodges Services Planned.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Stahl Funeral Service Chapel, Newkirk, for Andrew J. Hodges, 93, who died here at 3:05 a.m. Sunday following an extended illness.
Born in Schuyler County, Ill., May 3, 1860, he moved to Oklahoma in 1904, locating in Newkirk. He was a cement mason and served as sexton of the Newkirk cemetery for a number of years. In 1938 he and his son, O.E. Hodges, moved to Ponca City, where they have resided since.
Survivors include O.E. Hodges of the home at 803 East Grand Avenue; a grandson, Bryson Hodges, 317 South Twelfth, and two great grandchildren.
The Rev. Jaroslav Mrazek, pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Newkirk, will officiate. Burial will be in Newkirk cemetery.
