CHILLICOTHE - Gladys Shirley Mahle, 72, of Chillicothe died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Heritage Manor.
Born Dec. 15, 1931, in Chillicothe to Joseph Kenneth and Alice C. Montonye Allen, she married Richard Mahle on Feb. 9, 1973. He died Dec. 17, 1985.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one daughter, Tina Simonton of New Mexico; two grandsons; and one sister, Gena Swiger of Chillicothe.
She worked at R.L. Nelson in Peoria from 1960 to 1973.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Davison-Fulton Anderson Chapel, where visitation will be one hour earlier. The Rev. Bill Carter will officiate. Burial will be in Chillicothe City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
