She was born May 24, 1899, at Humphrey, Neb. to Ignatz and Anna Braun-Zach, She was raised and attended school in Humphrey, and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School with the class of 1916.
She married Leo Fehringer at Humphrey on Jan. 13, 1925. They resided in Humphrey until 1926 when they moved to a farm near Peetz. They continued farming until their retirement in 1964, when they moved into Peetz.
Mr. Febringer dued in 1971. She remained in Peetz until 1977, when health conditions made it necessary for her to live with her children.
In July 1987 she moved to Pocatello, Idaho, where she lived with her granddaughter and her family. In December 1988 she moved to the American Falls nursing home.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the altar society, and was a choir member for many years.
Survivors include seven sons, Arnold and Leo Fehringer of Aberdeen, Idaho, Alvin, Mark, Gerald and Edward Fehringer, all of American Falls, and Charles Fchringer of Peetz; three daughters, Coletta Roelle and Marcella Schumacher, both of Peetz and Barbara Schaefer of Sterling; 63 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
Gehrig & Son Funeral Home in Sidney, Neb., is in charge of arrangements.
