Sarah married the Rev. David Cloyd and united another two of the first pioneer families of Whites Creek on 17 Mar 1795 at Whites Creek by John Beard, minister of the Gospel. David was a farmer and Methodist minister. He solemnized many marriages in the 37 years he preached in the little white church in the town of Whites Creek. This church is now replaced by a beautiful modern brick chapel.
