Otto Bismarck Burmeister born 1 October 1893 at Larrabee, IA, died of bone marrow cancer 20 February 1949 in the hospital at Little Rock, AK. Prior to his death he had been confined to the Hot Springs army and Navy hospital for 18 months. Buried in CHokio Cemetary. Otto was a navy veteran of World War I. He was never married. With his brother, Paul, Otto worked for a few years in a auto repair shop at Avoca, MN. He then farmed for a few years near Chokio, living with his sisters, Alma and Alice, then sold his land to his brother, Henry, prior to moving to Little Rock, Arkansas in about 1934. For 15 years he travelled to CA and AK, but maintained his legal residence at Chokio, MN. While living in MN, he was a charter member of the ALberta MN Nazarene Church.
