David Belford, of Cogan Station, died at the Williamsport private hospital Saturday after a lingering illness, at the age of seventy-six years. He is survived by his wife and four children, Mrs. Florence Maule, of Republic, O., Mrs. J. E. Flook of Saladasburg and Clara and Ada at home. The funeral will be held at the State Road church at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. Mr. Belford was a Civil War veteran. He enlisted on Aug. 6, 1862, in Company G, 131st Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment and was honorably discharged at Harrisburg on May 23, 1863. He re-enlisted on May 4, 1864, in Company E, 3rd Regiment, Heavy Artillery and was discharged at Monroe, Va. in 1865, having served a total of three years.
