Beloved Augusta Lady Dies After Brief Illness
The announcement of the death of Miss Leora Carrie Hulbert, who died at the residence, 224 Broad Street, last night at 9:15 o'clock, is a source of much sorrow among her numerous friends. She had been seriously ill for the past week, and despite all that medical attention and loving care could do the demise came, marking the end of a useful Christian life.
Miss Hulbert was 52 years of age, having resided in this city practically her entire life, during which time she was prominently identified with numerous religious and charitable organizations. She was known for her thought of others and will be remembered as one who sought to spread the sunshine of charity as taught by her Savior. She was a devout and consistent member of the First Baptist Church for the past 39 years.
The funeral will be conducted at the residence tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. Dr. E.L. Grace, pastor of the church, will officiate, and the interment will occur in the City Cemetery.
Mother, Mrs. Susan A. Hulbert; one brother, G.C. Hulbert; two sisters, Mrs. Guy M. Bowen and Miss Angie B. Hulbert, and Susanne Bowen, are the surviving relatives.
