Mrs. Shirley Ann Holland, 67, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at her home in Ennis. She was born July 20, 1936 in Groves, TX, the daughter of Max and Gertrude Jacob Brau. She was reared in Grove and was a 1954 graduate of Port Neches High School. From 1954 to 1958 and 1964 to 1968 she lived in Germany. She then moved to Tucson, AZ. On Dec. 30, 1971 she was married to Wayne O. Holland. In 1982 they moved to Ennis. Mr. Holland preceded her in death on March 9, 1997. She was a member of the Anthony Drive Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #7106. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Victoria and Victor Adams of Ennis; 3 brothers, Harroll Brau, Wilbert Lee Brau and Mike Brau all of Groves; 2 sisters, Ire Nell VanDevender and Maxine Burke both of Groves; 2 grandchildren, Ayla and Alyssa Hiller of Ennis; and 2 step-grandchildren, Veronica and John Adams both of Plano. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
