CHESTER - Mrs. Sara Isobel (Davis) Fanning
94, of 1076 Ashford Road, died Monday, August 11, 1997 at Chester County Hospital.
Born February 15, 1903 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Mrs. Fanning, widow of the late James Henry Fanning, Jr., daughter of the late Robert Davis and Martha (Frazer) Davis, moved from Belfast, Northern Ireland to Chester with her family in 1922. She attended school in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She also was a homemaker.
Services is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Thomas T. Diggs officiating. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery.
Survivors are one sister, Miss Roberta Adeline Davis of Chester; a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, PO Box 41, Chester, SC 29706.
The family will receive friends at the home of Alex and Lily Boyd
