Funeral services were held from Silver Creek Methodist church Monday afternoon, May 1 for Mrs. Virginia Armstrong, 81, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Brinson, New Hebron, early Sunday morning of a heart attack. Her pastor Rev. Stanley Landrum, officiated, assisted by Rev. Luther Hart and Rev. Jesse Watkins.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. J. T. McInnis, Silver Creek and Mrs. Jim Brinson, New Hebron, two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Smith, Sr., New Hebron and Mrs. Lonnie Allen, Silver Creek; and one granddaughter, Virginia Brinson, New Hebron.
Pall bearers were Aubry Jordan, Albert White., N. A. Sandifer, Jr., Willie George and C. B. McArthur.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Walden's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
