Antone "Tony" Acarregui, 86, of Caldwell, died Friday, March 21, 1997, at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes.
Vigil services will be held at 7 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Jordan Valley, Ore., with Father Lawrence Kearney presiding. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 26, at St. Berard's Catholic Church, with Father Enrique Terriquez presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Jordan Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Tony was born June 14, 1910, at Jordan Valley, a son of John and Paula Acarregui, and spent his first 36 years on the Acarregui Ranch two miles west of Jordan Valley.
In 1938 Tony married Beulah Wallbaum. They moved to the Treasure Valley, and over a period of years owed and operated three dairy farms. They moved to Caldwell where he worked 27 years for Idaho Meat Packers, retiring in 1977.
Tony was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah; children, John and Linda Acarregui of Salem, Ore., Ron and Judi Acarregui of Kodiak, Alaska, Toni Ann Maxwell and Mike Gable of Caldwell; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita: brothers, Victor, Angil, and Floyd; and a grandson, Steven.
