Leo E., son of John and Mollie
(Riddle) Cottam was
born March 1, 1910, near
Reynolds, Neb., and died
January 25 at the Veteran's
hospital at Leavenworth at the
age of 61 years, IO months and
24 days.
He served as Corporal in the
army with the 1062 d Forestry
Division from February 24,1942
to December 5, 1945. He attended
grade school and 3 years
of high school at Hubbell. He
was a member of the American
Legion at Atchison.
He was preceded in death by
his father and mother and two
brothers. He is survived by 3
brothers, John Cottam of San
Leandro, Calif., George Cottam
of Edgar, Neb., and Virgil
Cottam of Hubbell and 4 sisters;
Mrs. Frank Davenport and Mrs.
Elmer Zlab, both of Lincoln,
Neb., Mrs. Ed Childers of
Muscotah and Mrs. Ollie
Woodside of Hubbell
Funeral services were held
Friday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m.
at the United Methodist church
of Hubbell conducted by the
Reverends Norman and Opal
Crounse, graveside services
were conducted by the State
Line Post 317, The American
Legion, Hubbell. Interment was
made in Hubbell Cemetery.
