The body of Eldora N. Keeney, age 96, was interred in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery, Saturday, following services from the Baker Funeral Home, Danville. She died January 29 at the Lutheran Home in Ft. Wayne where she had made her home for many years. She was the widow of George A. Keeney,
Danville.
Prior to her marriage in 1906, she was a school teacher in the public schools of Union Township. In later years, she owned and operated the book store in Danville for 21 years. She moved to New Haven several years ago to be near her daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Virginia Belle) Coates, who survives.
she was a former active member of the Danville Methodist Church prior to transferring her membership to the New Haven United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women's Club. She was also a member of the DAR of which she was past regent; the Danville Business & Professional Women's Club, Social Circle and the Browning Club.
Surviving with the daughter are two grandsons, Nelson Keeney, Tipton and David Coates, Ft. Wayne.
