OPERATION FATAL TO JACOB NORRIS
Well Known Farmer Dies at Local Hospital Thursday Morning-Funeral Sunday At East Zion Church.
Jacob Henry Norris, 74, a well known resident of the East Zion neighborhood, passed away at the Greenville hospital Thursday, his death following an operation for hernia.
Mr. Norris was a native of Seven Mile, Butler County, but came to this vicinity with his parents when a small child, and has resided here ever since. He was industrious and successful, and was a man whom all respected and admired.
The death of Mr. Norris is mourned by his widow and three children, Hugh and Clarence, at home and Mrs. Clara Carothers at Weaver Station; he is also mourned by two sisters, Mrs. Geo. W. Hartzell, of Dayton, and Miss Ida Norris, of the same city.
Funeral services Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the East Zion church. Rev. O.O. Arnold, of this city, officiating. Burial in the Abbottsville cemetery.
