Clifford W. D. Davis, 64 of 1110 North Dubuque Street, died this morning at Veterans Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 1:30pm Saturday at the George L Gay Funeral Home where visitation will begin at 7pm today. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born November 5, 1912 in Cincinnati, Iowa, he was the son of James and Pearl Binns Davis. On November 5, 1952 he married Mildred Cook in Iowa City. He was employed by Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company for 25 years, retiring in 1974.
He was a verteran of World War II, served in the National Guards and was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters Debbie Davis and Mrs Karen Glick both of Iowa City and Mrs. James (Carol) Tell of Urbandale. Two Step sons, Gary Albrecht of Waterloo and Leslie Albrecht of Iowa City. 10 Grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Furman of Iowa City and Mrs. Earl (Ollie) Buckof Yakima Wash. and several half brothers and sisters. One son died eariler.
