Obituary:
James I. Waters, 51, of HCR 75, Burnt Cabins, died at 12;10 a.m. Monday, July 3, 1989, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. Born in Burnt Cabins on March 24, 1938, he was the son of Ira K. and Lola (Cornelius) Waters. He was united in marriage with Donna Jayne on July 7, 1957. Surviving are his wife; his mother; three children: Peggy L. Brown of McConnellsburg, Dorothy M. Raley of Saxton and James K. Waters, at home; four grandchildren and a step-grandson. Also surviving are three sisters: Sally Stratton, New Hampshire; Dorothy Ray, McConnellsburg and Margaret Newman, Hustontown. Mr. Waters attended Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church. A member of McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Department, he had been a maintenance worker at the Fulton County Courthouse in McConnellsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap R.D., with the Rev. Harold Imes officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap R.D. Friends may call at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Buidling Fund of Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap, Pa. 17255.
