8 Aug 1966: Charles W. Davis, 75, 915 N. Eighth St., died Saturday morning in the Good Samaritan Hospital. A native of Lebanon, he was a son of the late David J. and Christine Boger Davis. He was a veteran of World War One, during which he served in the chemical warfare service. He was a retired employee of the Con-0-Lite Vault Company. He was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church and of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Emily Ringler; two brothers, Harry, in France, and Raymond, Egg Harbor, N.J.; and one grandson, Thomas L. Davis. His son, Lester N. Davis, who died May 21, 1962, was an employee of the Bureau of Engineers of the City of Lebanon. [Lebanon Daily News]

10 Aug 1966: Funeral services for Charles W. Davis, 915 N. Eighth St., were held at 10 a.m. today from the Taylor Funeral Home. The Rev. Jacob R. Weaver, pastor of First Evang. Congregational Church, officiated. Interment was made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The pallbearers were Charles Deininger, Harry Kipp, Frederick Klopp, Clifford Light, Michael Lombardy & Clarence Rupp; all members of the church. [Lebanon Daily News]
