Born in West Alexander, Pennsylvania, Paul Addison Bushfield came to Boise with his parents in 1910. He attended Boise schools and worked for the former Capital News in his early years. On June 30, 1918, Paul married Gladys Lowmiller in Boise. After several years of living in Pennsylvania, the couple moved back to Boise in 1926 and Paul began working in the State Auditor's Office. He later worked for the Corps of Engineers at Mountain Home before retiring in 1960.

Mr. Bushfield was active in the Democratic Party for many years and in 1950 was a candidate for State Auditor. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and of Sawtooth Barracks No. 217, Veterans of W.W.1.

Paul was preceded in death by 2 children (Polly & William), his parents (Samuel & Laura Bushfield), and his siblings (Mary Olive Grandjean, Grace McDonald Cramer, and William Chambers Bushfield). Survivors, besides his wife, are a son John Bushfield, 6 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, a niece, and nephew.
