RITES FOR CHRIS AXTELL MONDAY

Funeral services were held Monday for Christian Leland Axtell, well-known Blair man who died February 24th at Norfolk, Nebraska. Mr. Axtell was a resident of the Soldiers and Sailors' Nursing Home in Norfolk at the time of his death. He was 66 years old.

The deceased was born at Missouri Valley, Iowa June 4, 1898, but had lived in Blair most of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Audra, and by two brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Orville Axtell of Blair and Lester Axtell of Sonora, California. The sisters are Mrs. Walter Serius of McAllester, Oklahoma and Mrs. Sarah Otto of Omaha. A brother Leonard Axtell and a sister, Lu Axtell Osborn preceded him in death. Funeral services were held from the Campbell Mortuary Monday afternoon with interment in the Blair cemetery. Mr. Edgar White was the minister at the service.

Pallbearers were Otto Wenz, Sr., Otto Wenz, Jr., Richard Wenz, Rodger Wenz, Tom Flynn , and Gordon Vinton.
