Johnnie Adams, age 78 passed away May 24, 2002 in Newport, Arkansas. He was born September 9, 1924 in Red Oak, Oklahoma.

He is the son of John Adams and Elvira Duree-Adams.

He is preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Clarence, Arthur James, Harvey, Charlie, Bill, and Ernest Jackson Adams.

He is survived by one sister, Ruby Jewell Whitney of Cash, Arkansas.

Johnnie was married twice. His first wife was Naomi Coward-Adams, they had the following children, Johnnie Ruth, Connie Jean, and Charlene Adams.

His second wife was Juanita Prince-Adams, they had the following children, Polly Ann, Deyon, Jimmie, Rickey Adams, and two step-children, Billy Ray Stokes, and Joyce London. Many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Interment was at Ballews Chapel in Grubbs, Arkansas-Jackson County, Arkansas.
