Funeral services for Editha Doty, 69 year old Louden township resident who died Saturday afternoon, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the First Christian Church of Beecher City.

Rev Jack Busby of Brownstown, a close friend of the family, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Jerry McCornack, pastor of the church. Burial was In the Beecher City cemetery.

Mrs. Doty was the mother of Mrs. Norma Jean Siebert and a sister of Mrs. Everett Cox, both of Altamont. She had been ill for several months.

A daughter of David and Ellen Dowty, Mrs. Doty was born in Moccasin township on Jan. 22, 1885. She and Mr. Doty were married on March 19, 1903, at Moccasin.

Mrs. Doty was a member of the First Christian Church of Beecher City for many years.

Surviving besides the husband, Roy, are four daughters, Mrs. Siebert of Altamont, Mrs. Irene Burris of Tower Hill, Mrs. Edna Sparks of Beecher City and Mrs. Thelma Calvert of Boron, Calif.; one son, Hurrell Doty of Moccasin; two brothers, Pickett and Lloyd Doty of Beecher City; and one sister, Mrs. Cox of Altamont.

Preceding her in death were two children, a son, who died in infancy and a daughter, Mary Ellen, who died at the age of six.
