Services for Lurena Dye were held Sept. 21 at the Dean Funeral Home in Caruthersville. Mrs. Dye passed away Sept. 19, 1980, in Kennett at the age of 84. Mrs. Dye was a native of Mark Tree, Ark., but was a longtime resident of Caruthersville. She was the wife of Novis P. Dye, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Albert Frakes of Portland, Ore., Allie Frakes of Cannon Lake, Tex., Verland Frakes of Manchester, Tenn., and Albert Frakes Jr., of San Antonio; and 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted by C. Brodie Harrell, pastor of the Church of Christ where Mrs. Dye was a member. Interment in the Little Prairie Cemetery with Ben Malone, Perry McDonald, Ed Ferrell, James Treece, Ralph Carlton, and Larry Howell serving as pallbearers.
