He shared the remainder of the estate with the other six brothers and sisters. He remained in Mendon most of his life even though his father moved to Oxford when he was 13. Ichabod was a farmer. Town records show he served as Selectman in 1756 and was on the Grand jury in 1758. In the records of the town he is called Lieutenant.
