Charles C. Hart, 88, of Quarryville R2, died unexpectedly at his home at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. He had been under a physician's care. He was the husband of Alice A. Fichtner Hart, who died in 1973. A retired farmer, he was a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church. Born in East Drumore Township, he was a son of the late Edward E. and Kate Brubaker Hart. Surviving are a son, Claude F., Quarryville R2; a daughter, H. Catherine, wife of Richard Hoffer, Brunnerville; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. (Lancaster New Era - Jan 2, 1978)
