Velma R. Boergadine of Elmira, died March 1 following a brain aneurysm. She was 75.
Boergadine was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Eugene to Adolph and Cecal Swift Petersdorf. She married William Boergadine in Vancouver, Wash., in 1951.
She was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Elmira High School. She lived in Cottage Grove before settling in Creswell.
She was a homemaker and she enjoyed sewing and making braided rugs. She especially enjoyed visiting with her many friends.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steve and Michael Boergadine, both of North Hollywood, Calif.; a brother, Darrell Petersdorf of Elmira; a sister, Eldean Temple of Elmira; and three grandchildren.
