ALBERT ASSMANN

Albert Assmann was born in Westphalen, Germany in 1857. He came to America in 1874 before Earling was plotted and worked as a carpenter in the Westphalia area, then came to Earling to follow his trade in building up the new town.

In 1890 he married Emma Fahn, who was born at Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 1868. She was the daughter of Peter and Catherine (Donner) Fahn. Peter Fahn was a Civil War veteran.

After they ceased farming they moved to Denver, Cob, in 1967. They celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary in Denver in 1979. Joseph married Delores Egan.
