Jim Brassfield Rites
In Davis May 17th


Jim Brassfield, age 70, Sulphur, died in a Sulphur hospital May 16. He had been ill 30 days and in the hospital 18 days.

Born Pope County, Ark. Oct. 25, 1884, he moved from there to Texas, then cam to Oklahoma and was a resident of the Davis Community some 50 years. He was a retired farmer.

Services were Wednesday, May 18, 2 P.M. in the Bahner Chapel in Davis, burial was in Green Hill Cemetery under direction Bahner Funeral Home. Rev. Arthur Green and Rev. Guy Greenfield officiated.

Survivors are his wife Mrs. Ida Brassfield, also four sons, Johnnie of Ada; Alex of Davis; Roy and T. J. of Whittier, Calif., and five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Merritt, Fontana, Calif., Mrs. Maggie Osler, Chula Vista, Calif., Mrs Margaret Long, Fallbrook, Calif., Mrs. Temple Bearden, and Mrs. Jerry Wilson of Torrance, Calif. Three brothers, Tom Brassfield, Sulphur, Jess of Redland, Calif. And Frank of Davis.

Nineteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
