George Huckaby Dies After Brief Illness
George G. Huckaby, age 59, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, July 19 in the Jackson Parish Hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20 in the Chapel of Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Rev. Morris Goins conducted the services.
Burial was in the Old Castor Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Huckaby, Tony Huckaby and Pat Huckaby, all of Jonesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Charalette Alexander of West Monroe and Mrs. Judy Reed of Jonesboro;
Four sisters, Mrs. Helen Holloway, Mrs. Clara Rist and Mrs. Bedon Benson, all of Sarepta and Mrs. Velon Gaar of Dodson; five brothers, Cortez Huckaby, Ordez Huckaby and Crawford Huckaby all of Hodge, Red Huckaby of Jonesboro and Sammy Huckaby of West Monroe; eight grandchildren also survive.
