Lee left Oklahoma when he was 14 and went to Colorado and started working. He was running logging crews by the time he was 17. He started cowboying on the local ranches and started getting into rodeo, a sport he continued to love all his life. He was proud of the Gold Prca card he
worked so hard to get.
He worked at seasonal cowboying at a lot of the large
ranches in the west and did his own ranching and farrier
work on the side.
Later, Lee left Colorado and moved west to Washington
state. He has 12 children, 3 preceded him in death.
