Son of Joseph Drozdowicz and Josephine (Krzysiak) Drozdowicz of Dobczyce, Poland. Husband, father of two children, brother and uncle. WWII Veteran - US Navy. Gene was on board the plane that flew the original peace treaty for WWII from San Diego to Hawaii. He enlisted in the US Navy for about four years during WWII - from June 4, 1942 through May 10, 1946. Gene was a golfer, musician, and a talented craftsman who built and flew remote-controlled airplanes. Gene always loved airplanes. When he was 18, he worked at Howard Aircraft Corporation in Chicago. His jobs later would include Delta Airlines and time as an instructor at Chicago Helicopter Airways. Gene loved family outings and travelling around the country seeing historical sites and taking relaxing vacations in Arizona, California and Florida.
