Wife of Jozef (Joseph) Drozdowicz (1894-1972). Married on Aug. 22, 1915 in Chicago, IL. Mother of five boys and two girls. Grandmother of nine. Daughter of Piotr Krzysiak and Maria (Kowalski) Krzysiak of Dobczyce, Poland. Soon after coming to the United States from Poland, Josephine became a Harvey Girl working at the El Garces in Needles, California. Her best friend, Victoria (Bartlaga) Zulawinska, was a Harvey Girl as well and they were together in Needles, California before returning to Chicago where they both got married and had children. Jozefa had five surviving children - four boys and one girl: Rudy, Teddy, Eddie, Eugene and Buzzy. All four of Jozefa's sons were veterans of WWII. Josephine died at the Womens and Childrens Hospital in Chicago at age 52 years, 2 months and 23 days old.
