Elliott Rites Held At Black Hawk Sat.

Funeral services for Charles Melton Elliott were held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the Black Hawk Methodist Church with the Rev. Wilson Ray and the Rev John Young officiating. Burial was in the Coila Cemetery under the direction of Lee-McGahey Funeral Home of Winona.

Mr. Elliott died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, January 27, at the Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. He was 47. He was born in Carroll County on March 23, 1913 and had made his home at Black Hawk for a number of years. He was a member of years. He was a member of the Black Hawk Methodist Church

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ellen Fisher Elliott, Winona; two sons, Charles Melton Elliott Jr. and William Norman Elliott both of Black Hawk; a brother, Fisher Elliott, Coila; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Herrod, Winona and Mrs. W.A. Harvey, Lexington.

Pallbearers were Bernard Sanders, Leslie Elliott, J.T. Sudduth, John Fisher, Jr., Charles K. Elliott and Morgan Galey.
