Robert C. Scarberry

Robert C. Scarberry, 71, of Carrollton, died of cancer Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Mr. Scarberry, a retired truck driver, was the widower of the late Willie Mae Bailey Scarberry. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, at Oliver Chapel in Winona with burial in Coila Cemetery.

Mr. Scarberry is survived by two daughters, Lesie Turbeville of Vaiden, Janice Azbell of Puryear, Tenn.; five sons, Alan Scarberry and David Scarberry, both of Hohenwald, Tenn., Robert C. Scarberry, Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas, Richard Scarberry of Olive Branch and Kenny Scarberry of Columbia, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Michael Azbell, Scott Scarberry, Joshua Scarberry, Roy Bush, George Wyman Scarberry and Don Nobles.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
