Lottie Fowler Bailey, 92, of McCarley died Friday, August 25, 1989 at Winona Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bailey, a native of Corinth, was a housewife. Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Fowler.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband, Byron T. Bailey of McCarley; four step-daughters, Helen Browning of Vaiden, Dorothy McCluskey and Barbara Beckwith of Carrollton, and Charlotte Scarberry of Pelahatchie; two sons, George Scarberry of Grenada and Robert Scarberry of Carrollton; four step-sons, Marcus Bailey of McCarley, Virginia, B.T. Bailey, Jr. of Jeffersonville, Indiana, M.C. Bailey of Hampton, Virginia and Robert Bailey of Athens, Georgia; two sisters, Josephine Cox and Mattie Corley of Grenada; one brother, Bob Fowler of Corinth; and ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at Oliver chapel on Sunday, August 27, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Norris Corley officiating. Burial was in Coila Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alan Scarberry, Robert Scarberry, David Scarberry, Waymon Scarberry, Carl Scarberry, and Richard Tuberville. Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
