Ill since Sunday, although she had been in failing health for a number of years, Mrs. May Stowers-Collingwood, 72, died early this morning in the home of her son, Frederick Collingwood, of Palm Street, Natrona Heights.
Mrs. Collingwood made her home with her son for the past five years, since the death of her husband, Perry, on February 19, 1938. Mr. Collingwood died while visiting here in the same home in which Mrs. Collingwood passed away today.
Mrs. Collingwood was born in Rimer Hill and resided there her entire life-time until coming here five years ago. She was a life member of the Reformed Church of Widnoon.
Surviving are four sons: Alvin, Fawndale; Frederick, Natrona Heights; Edgar, Markle; and three daughters: Mrs. R.B. Meredith, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. James Doyle, Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Cooper Chaney, 218 West Seventh avenue. Fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Charles Stowers, Springdale and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Gray, Hawthorne, PA., also survive.
Friends are being received in the Collingwood home in Palm Street, Natrona Heights. The funeral cortege will leave the home Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock for Widnoon, where services will be held in the Reformed Church at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Hartman will be in charge of the rites. Burial will follow in Widnoon Cemetery.
