VANCLEAVE -- Mrs. Ruby L. Harper, 56, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, in Vancleave.
Mrs. Harper was born June 22, 1943, in Brooklet, Ga., and had been a resident of the Coast for 40 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Larue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy N. Cowart; a sister, Ann Cowart; and two brothers, Dean Cowart and Earl Cowart.
Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Harper Sr. of Vancleave; a daughter, Debbie Hunt of Biloxi; three sons, Virgil Harper and Richard L. Harper Jr. of Vancleave and Terry Harper of Woolmarket; her mother, Pearl Cowart of Vancleave; a brother, H.N. Cowart of Atlanta; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Larue Baptist Church, where friends may call an hour before services. Burial will follow at Bonnie Chapel Cemetery.
