Noah Bacon was born on February 28, 1790 in Westminster, Worcester County, Massachusetts, the fifth son and eighth child of Timothy and Sybil (Parker) Bacon. In about 1800 the Timothy Bacon family moved from Massachusetts to in or near Lowville, Oneida (later Lewis) County, New York. Noah Bacon married Nancy Suits, the daughter of Peter Suits.

In the 1825 New York state census, Noah Bacon and family are resding in Lowville, Lewis County, New York with three females in the household. There is one married female between ages 18-45 (wife Nancy, age 26 in 1825) and 2 unmarried females under age 16 years (one of whom was daughter Emaline E. Bacon, born in 1821). Noah Bacon's brother, Isaac Bacon, also resided in Lowville in the 1825 state census. Their father, Timothy Bacon, died in Lowville in 1823 and their mother, Sybil (Parker) Bacon, was apparently residing with son Isaac.

In the 1830 U.S. census, Noah Bacon and family are residing next door to his brother Jacob P. Bacon in Fowler, St. Lawrence County, New York. By the 1840 U.S. census Noah and family had moved to Hillsdale County, Michigan, and were in Allen in 1840 and in Fayette township in the 1850 U.S. census. Noah Bacon died in Fayette, Hillsdale County, Michigan on December 13, 1854. His wife Nancy would live to 1898 and die at the age of 99.
