Washington Benner, of Churchtown, died suddenly on Wednesday evening. While walking along the public road near his home he was stricken with apoplexy and was seen to fall by a number of carpenters working on a house nearby. The stricken man was carried to his home and died soon afterward. He was eighty-two years old and besides his wife is survived by the following children: Fillmore, of Churchtown; Harlan and Mrs. Harry Stauffer, of Goodville, and Mrs. John Slaymaker, of Kinzer.
