Mrs. Nannie E Gillespie, 89, passed away at Marsolais Manor, Auburn, July 24, 1965.
Born in Pennsylvania May 26, 1876, she had lived at Brewster since 1902. She had moved to Auburn a year and a half ago to be near her daughter, Mrs. James (Gertrude) Crandall.
Mrs. Gillespie also leaves another daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Gladys) Swift of Colfax, six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A former school teacher in Brewster and vicinity, Mrs. Gillespie was a 68 year member of the Brewster Rebekah Lodge No. 258 and the Community Log Church.
Services will be held for the pioneer lady at the Log Church Wednesday. Reverend Ray Glessner officiated. Interment followed at Brewster Cemetery.
Price Funeral Chapel, Auburn, was in charge of arrangements.
