AKINS, J. R. - age 80, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday morning, November 14, 2001, at Loudon Health Care Center. He was of the Baptist Faith. J. R. was retired from John Mohr and Son in Chicago. He was preceded in death by daughters, Wanda Jean Akins and Christine Lindsey; son, J. L. Akins; parents, Luke and Vennie Akins. Survived by wife, Ree Devine Akins; daughter, Barbara Bledsoe and husband, Freddie of Lenoir City; sons, J. B. Akins and wife, Kay of Chicago, Ill., and Richard Akins and wife, Karen of Chicago, Ill.; sister-in-law, Charlotte Akins of Cleveland, Tenn. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Akins and wife, Ruth of Sweetwater, Bobby Burchfield and wife, Phyllis of Lenoir City; sisters, Lillie Akins, Annie Ruth Price and husband, Arlie, all of Lenoir City, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
