Benjamin Finnie Tarver, 90, died Thursday, April 24, in Collingsworth General Hospital.
Mr. Tarver was born August 5, 1895 in Wise County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Shockley Tarver. He married Stella Vida Morgan on June 20, 1915 in Red Springs. He was a retired farmer and ginner, having lived a number of years in Hall and Wilbarger counties. He and his wife moved to Wellington July 14, 1984.
Survivors include his wife of Wellington; two sons, Joe E. Tarver of Wellington and Occie Burk Tarver of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Wilma Gibbs of Wellington, Thelma Abel of Amarillo and Vida Jean may of Abilene; one sister, Bonnie Ruth Gamble of Thalia; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Seven children preceded him in death.
