Albert worked with his father on the "Orchardvale" homestead on the corner of the Warren Center - West Warren roads on the southeast side. His father & mother (Albert & Aurelia Robbe Brainard) are buried on the family plot cemetery on this corner. They came from Russia, N.Y. about 1825-26. They were married in Peterborough, N.H. in 1825. Albert and Joanna lost their only child at 5 months old. They adopted a son from Towanda, Pa. His name was Warren Thomas Jones, the son of Thomas and Olivia Pratt Jones. Olivia died giving birth to her daughter Bertha. Warren was put up for adoption, and his father Thomas went into service of the Civil War in 1865. Warren's name was changed to Warren Brainard (Great Grandfather of Lyle Rockwell).
