Mrs. William Hudson

Ethel Lorraine Hampton was born to Robert and Alvira (sic) Hampton July 22, 1880 at New Centerville, Wisconsin.
She passed away at her home in New Centerville of a heart attack on January 2, 1955 at the age of 74 years.
She was united in marriage to William Hudson October 3, 1897. To them were born 11 eleven children, two of whom died in infancy.
Her husband and two sons, Philip and Randolph, preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Mrs. Emil Rasmussen of Webster and Mrs. Ernest Hall of Emerald; five sons, Henry, Archie, and Ralph of New Centerville, Alfred of Webster, and Garold of Hammond; one brother, Thomas Hampton of Ronando Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Phernetton, Mrs. Warren Wilhelm of New Centerville, Mrs. Bertha Wiggen of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Jessie Madson of Hudson; eighteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Arthur W. Hall of St. Paul, accompanied by Mrs. Perry Peabody of Hammond, sang "Does Jesus Care?", "Good Night and Good Morning", and "Near To The Heart of God". Pallbearers were Tom and Silas Phernetton, Guy Phernetton, Harold Plumley, Robert Gotzman and Raymond Wilhelm.
She was laid to rest beside her husband and sons in the New Centerville cemetery, following funeral services Wed., Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church in New Centerville conducted by the pastor Mrs. C. Paul Nulton.
Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the funeral included Louie Dedrick of Hudson, Gordon Dedrick of St. Paul, Mrs. Arthur Olson, Mrs. Geo. Hilbert, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hall of St. Paul, Mrs. Lester Simpson of EAu Claire, Mrs. Robert Haugen, Mrs. Edward Stute of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Albin Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Wilhelm of River Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Phernetton of Hammond, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Kay of Ellsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Metcalf of Harris, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Guy Phernetton of Red Wing, Minn., Mrs. McFedder, Mr. and Mrs. Al Stone, Mrs. Henry Rackner and Mrs. Al Basler of Webster, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Phernetton of River Falls, and Mrs. Ray Wilhlem of Spring Valley, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Plumley and Roy Plumley of River Falls and Mrs. Daisy Olson of Spring Valley.
