Mona Jesse Lamm, 102, of Effingham, formerly of Cowden, IL and Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 8:10 PM Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Willow Brook in Effingham, IL. Mona was born Oct. 19, 1911, in Shelby County the daughter of William and Mabel Eastwood Wonus. She married Tom Banning in 1929 and he passed away in 1970. She married Fred Baly in 1981 and he passed later that year. She married Ray Lamm in 1985 and he passed away in 1990. Mona worked at Sta-Rite Ginnie Lou Corp. in Shelbyville, IL for over 40 years. Surviving are grandchildren: Diane Stanley of Effingham, Kim (Sheri) Banning of Livingston, TX, Kerry (Jill) Banning of St. Peters, MO and Julie (Eric) Hicks of Effingham; great grandchildren: Shana (A.J.) Gatewood of Florence, KY, Kala (Jeremy) Koerper of St. Louis, MO and Tracy Hicks of Effingham; great great grandchildren: Ty and Gabby Gatewood and Ella Koerper and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law Charles Eddie and Bev Banning; her husbands, her parents; brothers and sisters: John Wonus, Jake Wonus, Genevieve Perryman, Eileen Chirkun, Mildred Perryman, Dwight Wonus and Opal Stigers; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 2:00 until time of the service in Wednesday in the funeral home. Herschel Cosart will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery at Cowden, IL. Memorials: Donor's Choice.
