Alberta Brown Brockenbrough, age 98, died Sept. 2, 2009 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Brockenbrough lived in Hawthorne and was a member of Zion Hill S.D.A. Church in Hawthorne.
She's survived by 2 grandchildren, David and Anita Lindsey; her care giver, Bernice Sumpter Mercer, all of Hawthorne; and a host of church family and friends.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Brockenbrough will be held at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 at Zion Hill S.D.A. Church, Hawthorne, FL with Pastor Ricardo Daphnis officiating. Burial will be in Gilgal Cemetery. Viewing hours on today at PINKNEY-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 21400 SE Hawthorne Rd, Hawthorne, FL 5-6:30p.m. and Thursday at the church 10:30 - 11:00a.m.
